Local Problems

The government has recently wanted to rebuild Taber Hill and turn it into a recreational park. The locals and residents of Woburn have had a problem with this since it is such a historical site and believe it should not be torn down.

Cedarbrae Collegiate Institute is a popular public high school in Woburn. In recent history, there has been a lot of gang activity within the school. In the early 2000's, a gang brawl broke out and many students were injured. Some were even taken to hospital with serious knife wounds. To this day, police are constantly keeping watch over Cedarbrae as there are still some violent activities that occur.
